What is screen time?
According to Wikipedia: Screen time is the amount of time spent using a device with a screen such as a smartphone, computer, television, or video game console. Studies show that screen time directly impacts child development, and mental and physical health. The positive or negative health effects of screen time are influenced by levels and content of exposure. To prevent harmful exposure to screen time, some governments have placed regulations on its usage.
Can we make screen time of our child zero?
No. We can’t as it has become part and partial of our life because in the current COVID situation the screen time of each individual has increased by 4 folds. However, we can control it, monitor it and use it effectively to boost our child’s psychology and increase their learning capabilities.
This is the new norm and we have to learn to live with it.
